Our History: The first Raspberry Beret store was opened in Wakefield, MA in 2005 (now closed). At the time, it was one of the only consignment shops in the area! We opened our second store in Cambridge, MA in 2009, our third in Reading, MA in 2013 and our newest store in Maynard, MA in 2016.
While each of our stores has its own unique style and personality, they have the same personalized and friendly atmosphere. We have a very loyal customer and consignor base that shops and sells at Raspberry Beret. Women come to Raspberry Beret to find a dress for an event, a discounted designer bag, or an entire wardrobe update for the season. We have established our brand by having a friendly, clean, organized store filled with stylish, well-priced clothing and accessories for women.
Raspberry Beret is owned and operated by Rachael Bankey and her amazing and stylish team.
Our Philosophy: At Raspberry Beret, we believe that there is a social responsibility that comes with buying "recycled" clothing. It's an easy, economical, and stylish way to help the environment.
America throws away twenty billion pounds of used clothing each year. Mounds of wasted clothing, often still in great condition, fill our landfills. Shopping at stores like Raspberry Beret and reusing second hand clothing will significantly reduce the severe toll placed on the environment through the production of new clothing.
Our Goals: One of the greatest things about Raspberry Beret is that we're all inclusive. As a clothing store, we strive to create a fun, friendly shopping environment where all women can come in find something they love.
We know the labels and work hard to offer our customers the ones they're looking for but we set ourselves apart from other consignment stores because we don’t discriminate. Cute is cute, regardless of the designer. We fill our racks with unique, well-made clothes and offer the savings to our customers.
